AREA

•Maysick, Douglas H., age 54, of Lawton, Oklahoma, died October 28, 2007. He was born in 1953 in Brockport to Robert and Adaline Matthewson Maysick and a 1971 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army, receiving many awards and medals. He worked for 3KB Transportation as a truck driver for several years. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann (Smith) Maysick; five children: Daniel Maysick, Norman; Rachel Maysick and her fiancé Brian George, Weatherford; Andrew Maysick and Julie Maysick, Norman; his mother Adaline Maysick of Churchville; three sisters: Jackie Meade, Rebecca Coghlin and Laurie Maysick; two brothers: Randall Maysick and William Maysick; an aunt, Helen Gartz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and a son, Douglas Maysick Jr.

A Memorial Service was held November 1 at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231.


BROCKPORT

•Ferguson, Camilla A., On November 2, 2007 at the age of 63. Predeceased by her husband, Paul Ferguson. She is survived by her sons, Devon (Jennifer) of Newark and Jason of Rochester; grandchildren Jacob and Courtney; sister, Caroline (Clem) McBride; nieces and nephews. Theisha, Michelle, Brian; and her beloved pets.

A Funeral Mass was said November 7 at the Newman Oratory, Brockport. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Newman Center or the Humane Society in her memory.


•Howland, Bernice, age 99, on November 6, 2007. She was predeceased by her first husband, Isaac Buckeridge, her second husband, Donald J. Howland, a step-daugh-ter, Donna Mae Howland, three sisters and a brother. For years she worked as a legal secretary and court re-porter in Wisconsin. Mrs. Howland joined her daughter in Brockport after her retirement. Her memory is trea-sured by her daughter, Mary Fessenden (Field) of Brockport; step-daughter, Colleen Peck of Beloit, Wisconsin; son-in-law, David W. Field of Brockport; grandchildren, Michael Kadar-Kallen (Kimberlee) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Amber Kallen-Monroe (David Monroe) of Brockport, Mary Irene Peck and Donovan Peck of Beloit, Wisconsin, Brooke Field (Dawn) of Tampa, Florida; nine great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Josiah, Lydia, Anna, Mary Rose, Eliza and Kateri Kadar-Kallen, Linnaea and Liam Monroe; many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service was held November 9 at Lakeview Cemetery, Brockport. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. CHURCHVILLE

•Bigger, Priscilla A., October 29, 2007 at age 89. She was predeceased by her husband, Carlton R. Bigger; her son, Thomas George Hinton; her brothers Harry and Edward Reed. She is survived by her stepdaughters, Sharon (Alan) Bills of Nebraska and Dale Allison of Louisiana; three grandchildren, Paul (Barbara Jean) Canaway, Corinne (Todd) Nelson and Jessica (Dallas) Turner; her great-grandson Tristyn Turner; a niece and six nephews. Priscilla was Past President of SCOR, a member of FISH and a charter member of the Churchville Moose Lodge Auxiliary.

•Nasman, Shirley Anne, 64, formerly of Salisbury, Massachusetts, died November 3, 2007 at Rochester General Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Nasman of 39 years; three children, Kevin Nasman, Karin (Nasman) McClain, and Noel McClain; a brother; a sister; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a loving wife and mother and a registered nurse.

A Memorial Service was held November 10 at the Hope Lutheran Church, Rochester.


CLARENDON

•Root, William C., "Bill," 99, on November 5, 2007 at Lakeside-Beikirch Care Center. A lifetime resident of this area, he owned and operated his own farm until 1972 and then went to work at the Clarendon Feed Mill for several years. He was a member of the Disciples United Methodist Church, and National Grange; and enjoyed woodworking. He was predeceased by his wife Hazel in 2002. He is survived by a son Royce (Karen) Root of Brockport; three grandchildren, Joyce (Bill) Curtis of Florida, Pam (Arthur) Knab of Murray, Denise (Steve) Ruf of Holley; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchildren; several step-children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and special niece Cheryl (Russ) Maxon of Albion. Predeceased by a brother and two sisters.

•Cavallaro, Joseph G. "Fig," October 31, 2007. Age 68, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by father, Gregory Cavallaro; sons, James and Johnny. He is survived by his mother, Marion Sperry; wife, Donna (Wegman); children, Joseph A., Daniel (Penny), Laurie (Rick) Antelli, Michael, Karen (William) Longdue, Eddie (Emma) Arnold; daughter-in-law, Sherrie Cavallaro; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Ellen Johnson; brother Gregory Cavallaro; many nieces and nephews.

•Newsome, Floyd G., age 77, suddenly November 6, 2007. He is survived by his cousin, Doris Avel; brother-in-law, Robert (Louise) Smith; two nieces, Donna (Jim) Hay, Judy (David) Gerstner and dear friend, Mark (Joyce) Padoleski. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene (Smith) Newsome in 2006.

•Silloway, James E., Age 72, owner of Monroe Fluid Technology, died suddenly November 5, 2007 in Parma. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Mary; children Scott (Meredith) Silloway, David (Erica) Silloway, Julie (Tim) Gabriel, Kelly (Douglas) Sample, Paul (Kristina) Silloway; step-children, Allan (Tammy) Rice, Andrew (Marie) Rice, Amanda Rice; mother of his children Nadine Silloway. He also leaves grandchildren Jared, Justin, Cameron, Aiden, Autumn, Brian, Mark and step-grandchildren Joshua, Dylan and Amber; and special friend, Alan Christodaro. James was a member of the Ridgemont CC in Greece and Quail West CC in Naples, Florida. He was a pilot, a graduate of Aquinas Institute and St. John Fisher College.

•Stanton, Catherine C., Peacefully, November 4, 2007. Predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Catherine Cavanagh; brother, Thomas Cavanagh; niece, Maureen Olszewski; grandson, Todd Loel Stanton. •Brone, Chester J., Jr., November 3, 2007 at age 69. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Falone Brone; children, Michael Brone, Tammy (Jose) Martinez, Albert (Maria) Brone; grandchildren, Giovanni and Arainna Brone; mother-in-law, Mary Falone; uncles and aunt, Bruce Brone, "Nita" and Earl Conte. Predeceased by his father, Chester Sr. Mr. Brone was a member of Teamsters Local 398.

A Funeral Mass was said November 7 at St. Theodore's Church, Gates. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


•Kaminke, Adelyn Potote, age 97, November 2, 2007 after a short illness at Lakeside-Beikirch Care Center, Brockport. Ad was a life long resident of Holley. She was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Clara; her broth-ers, Frank, Anthony and Torino; her sisters, Lucy Piedmont, Jennie Hinton, Ella Ashworth, Nora Dunn and Amelia Potote. Fred, Ad's loving husband died in 2002. Adelyn leaves behind her devoted friends and neighbors Joan and Clark Knap. Ad is survived by her niece and devoted care giver Lois Petote. She also leaves nieces Sheila (Ron) Pimm, Joyce Potote, Paula (Jim) Bannister, Susan (Tom) Morgan, Carmella Poe, Sandra Potote; nephew Daniel Potote. Adelyn also had many great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Kaminke spent many years as a dental hygienist in Albion, working for Dr. Orlando.

•Spencer, Edmond S., Sr., died October 30, 2007, at age 90. Born January 31, 1917 in Batavia, NY. Edmond married Ruth Goettel in 1938 (deceased 6/24/99). He attended RIT, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and worked as a papermaker at Kodak from 1936 to 1975. A member of Ridgemont Golf Club, Ed played golf for 72 years. He is survived by daughters Catherine (Eugene) Henn, Rochester, Carolyn (Walter A.) Hazelton, Fairport, Lorraine Capparell, Palo Alto, California; son, Edmond S. (Linda) Spencer, Jr., Hilton; grandchildren: Alan (Kim) Hazelton, Rochester, Janet (Michael) Kardos, Cross River, New York, Amy (Geoff) Okarma, Sacramento, California; Sarah, Scott and Amanda Spencer, Hilton, David (Alicia) Henn, Rochester; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Hazelton, Melanie and Arthur Kardos; and Stassa and Lydia Henn.

MORTON

•Robinson, Robert E., age 49, died November 1, 2007 at Medina Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born October 1, 1958 in Brockport and had lived in this area all of his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Doris Robinson; sister Rose Robinson; nephew Chris Miller. He is survived by his brothers Don (Donna) of Kendall, Roy of Rochester; sisters, Gloria (Jerry) Kruger of Clarkson, Norma (Tim) Hughes of Perry; special friend Terry Condoluci; nephews and nieces Stanley Kruger, David Robinson, Donald Robinson Jr., Catherine Dixon, Amanda Hughes, Christina Hughes, Tim Hughes, Michael Hughes; devoted aunt Marion Vandetti of Hulberton; uncle Ed Cassidy.

A family gathering was held November 3. Memorials can be made to the Morton Fire Department.


SPENCERPORT

•Maloney, William R. Sr., November 1, 2007 at age 82. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Yolanda M. (Della Rocco) Maloney; his sons William Jr. (Virginia), Thomas (Maureen) of Arizona, James (Alice), John (Diane) and Patrick (Mary); 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He retired as Chief Transportation Officer with the US D.O.D.; proud former owner/operator, along with his wife Yolanda, of Town Pump General Store and was a member of Harvey C. Noone American Legion Post #954.

•Ruffino, Charles J. "Chuck," November 3, 2007 at age 90. Predeceased by wife, Mary and son, Anthony. He is survived by his daughters, Diane Ruffino and Adele (Mick) Jay; grandsons, Christopher, Matthew, Nicholas, Garrett and Weston; great-grandchildren, Tony, Matthew, Nathan, and Tisha; sisters Lillian Fornataro and Patricia (Preshey) Giudoni. He was a WWII Army veteran.

•Shaver, John E., of Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Spencerport, died October 21, 2007, after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his children, Tara (Ron) Wilder of Ithaca, Tanis (Ken Dillon) Carey of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Troy Shaver of Ithaca. Also survived by his mother, Dorothy B. Brower of Rochester; brothers, Robert W. (Maryann Sciarabba) Shaver of Rochester, William (Gayle) Shaver of Ontario, New York; grandchildren, Thomas, Zachary and Carrie Wilder; a niece and several nephews. John was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Shaver. In 1991, fol-lowing his retirement from Eastman Kodak after nearly 30 years of service, he relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, where he enjoyed many years of retirement, working part time at the Fort Myers Airport as a parking lot su-pervisor. John was a member of the Brockport Elk's Club #2110 BPOE and served as Exalted Ruler from 1986-1988.

•Stafford, Francena P., Died November 4, 2007 at age 93. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, gardener and friend. She is survived by son, Carl (Kathy) Stafford; grandchildren, Krissy, Matt and David; 34 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband C. Friend Stafford, daughter Carolyn, five brothers and seven sisters. She lived independently at the Village at Park Ridge until September 2007. She worked as a Child Psychologist for Greece Schools and a Literary Volunteer after retirement.
