Residents invited to join in Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program of Samaritan's Purse, which is run by Franklin Graham, provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on mission's project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus Christ.

Salmon Creek Community Church is a local Relay Center, located at 9076 Union Street, Scottsville, four miles south of the 490 Exit 4 in West Chili. Participants can take an ordinary shoe box, fill it with toys and other presents, an extraordinary gift for a child in need of joy and hope. Churches as well as individuals are invited to get involved in Operation Christmas Child and are asked to pray for the boy or girl who will receive the shoe box.

Salmon Creek Community Church will be open on the following dates and times for drop off boxes: Monday-Friday, November 12-16, 6:30-8:30 p.m.; Saturday, November 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Sunday, November 18, from noon to 3 p.m.
