Holley Elementary students walk for health during Red Ribbon Week

Holley Elementary School celebrated Red Ribbon Week with activities that centered on the theme "Drug Free, A Healthy Way To Be." Students and staff participated in a school-wide walk to promote healthy lifestyles. After walking around campus, the students were each handed a fresh apple as a snack. The apples were donated by James Kirby Farms of Albion. Students had a "Wear Red Day," wrote pledges for making healthy choices, were served a special lunch and received Red Ribbon pencils and stickers.

Prevention educators from GCASA (Genesee Orleans Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse) also presented information to classes about substance abuse awareness. School Counselor Wanda Farrell organized the week's activities.
