AREA

•Glover, Kenneth "Tiny," of Rochester, suddenly in Jacksonville, Illinois, April 6, 2008. Predeceased by sister, Tracy Titus. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kimberly Reese Glover; daughter, Madeleine Reese, both of Rochester; parents, Walter L. and Naomi Glover of Henrietta; brother, Walter E. Glover; sisters, Angela (Eroll) Skyers all of Connecticut, and Justine Glover-Adams of Rochester; mother and father-in-law, William and Karen Reese of Horseheads; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services were held April 12 at Church of Jesus Christ, Rochester. Interment, Riverside Cemetery.


BROCKPORT

•Armstrong, James W., April 6, 2008 at the age of 87. Predeceased by his wife Nancy. Survived by sons Phillip Armstrong, Paul (Karen) Armstrong; daughters Barbara Armstrong (Marty) and Marcia (John) Bullock; sister Arlene Weaver; grandchildren Andrea, Tony, Lee and Sean; great grandchild Kyle; nephews Donald and Gary. Jim was a life-long resident of the Hilton/Brockport area. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific.

A Memorial Service will be held May 3 at 10 a.m. at the Fowler Funeral Home, 340 West Avenue, Brockport. Interment will follow at the Garland Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Brockport Area Veterans Club, 222 West Avenue, Brockport, NY 14420 in his memory.


•Bopp, Joseph L., April 2, 2008, at the age of 70. He is predeceased by his wife Sarah J. on March 23, 2008, and is survived by his sons Douglas (Melinda), Daniel (Virginia); grandson Jordan; great grandson Christopher; brothers Marvin (Donna) and Ronnie; sisters, Nancy (Harry) Beaney, Kathy (Bruce) Voight, Sharon Stettner; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said April 7 at the Church of the Nativity BVM. Contributions can be made to the Brockport Ambulance Corps or the Alzheimer's Association in his memory.


•Hand, Arthur J., age 52, April 3, 2008. He is survived by his children Matt (Crystal) Hand, Jason Hand; grandchildren, Samantha, Alexis Hand; sister, June (Lynn) Rawleigh; mother of his children, Tracy Hand; and his best friend, Dave Lintz.

Interment at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory can be made to the Oatka Fish and Game Club or the charity of one's choice.


•Mills, Lois S., March 23, 2008 at age 79. She is survived by her sons Roy, James and David; her brother George R. Smith of Spencerport and her sister, Hester Smith of Gates; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held April 12 at Ogden Prebyterian Church, Spencerport. Interment, Fairfield Cemetery, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to the Amerian Heart Association in her memory.


•Snyder, Christine, 78, formerly of Rome, died April 6, 2008 in Brockport. Christine married Donald E. Snyder, who died January 6, 2000. She lived in North Bay for many years before moving to Brockport two years ago where she became active at the Sweden Senior Center and gained many treasured friends.

Surviving are two beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Jr. and Janet Snyder, Rochester, Robert and Betty Snyder, Malta; along with her beloved grandchildren, Scott and Jeffrey Snyder, and Angela (John) Wathen and Jessica Snyder; and two great grandchildren, Shane and Aiden. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Alfonso and Shirley Palmon, Whitesboro; mother-in-law, Harriett Snyder, North Bay; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Joaquin and Manuel, and a sister Mercedes.

Her Funeral Mass was held April 10 at St. John the Baptist Church, Rome, New York. Burial in Fish Creek Cemetery, Verona Beach. Donations can be made to the Sweden Senior Association, Inc., 133 State Street, Brockport, 14420 in her memory. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.


•VanWicklin, Marion D. (Strauss), April 8, 2008 at age 89. Predeceased by her husband, Carl Strauss. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Frederick) Pum; son, Lester (Wanda) Strauss; grandchildren, Jeffrey Pum, Gregory (Laura) Pum, Stacey Pum, Keith (Irina) Strauss and Kristina Strauss; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Anastasia, Megan and Chelsea.

Funeral Services were held April 10 at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece. Interment in White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions can be made to Greece Volunteer Ambulance, 867 Long Pond Road, Rochester 14612 in her memory.


•Zappone, Grace M., April 3, 2008 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband Angelo; sisters Mary, Jessie, Margaret and Clara. She is survived by her children Anthony A. Clare), Sharon Z. Wentworth (Rod Bigley); sister Annette (Ted) DeRoberts; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said April 7 at St. Mary's Church, Holley. Interment will be in the spring. Contributions can be made to the Lakeside Health System or Lollypop Farm in her memory.


HILTON

•Paxson, Elwyn D., "Red," age 86. April 6, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Clara Arlene Paxson; their children, David C. Paxson, Sidney E. (Carol) Paxson; their grandchildren, Tina (Mike) Burke, David Paxson, Michael Paxson, Kevin Paxson; great-grandchildren, Nikki Paxson, Skyler Burke and Kaitlyn Burke. He was a Kodak retiree and a US Army WWII veteran.

A Memorial Service was held April 10 at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Hilton Volunteer Ambulance in his memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Billington, John W., Suddenly on April 6, 2008 at the age of 60. Predeceased by his parents Ruth and Lawrence Billington. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sharon; son , Peter (Ericka); daughter, Holly Lin; grandchildren, Alex and Jonathan; siblings, Cheri (Mike) Conner, James (Doreen), Wilson, Ruth (Scott) Flow; several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance or the World Wildlife Fund in his memory.


•DiMarco, Frances G. (Gagliano), April 5, 2008. Frances is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Sam Campione; son, Edward Rebis; grandchildren, Sam Campione Jr., Shannon (Justin) Royster of Charlotte, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily and Caitlyn Royster; brother, William (Irma) Gagliano; sisters, Jennie Comardo and Mona Gagliano; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Frances worked at Bond Clothing, Eastman Kodak and Town Gate Manor.

•Patricelli, Frank J., April 8, 2008 at age 81. He is predeceased by brothers, Marcello and Anthony; sister, Mary Imburgia. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nazerien (Scaccia); children, Frank (Lydia), Debra (Richard) Musclow and AnnMarie (Timothy) Coraci; grandchildren, Todd, Frank, Stephanie, Rosine, Richard, Marc, Anthony and Emily; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Arianna, Joseph, Joshua; sisters, Natalie "Nan" (Anthony) Julian, Constance Capellupo; brother, Rocco (Marie) Patricelli; sister-in-law, Maryann Patricelli; brother-in-law, Paul (Maureen) Goodman; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Frank was a WWII Air Force Veteran and retiree of Lawyers Cooperative Publishing Co.

A Funeral Mass was held April 12 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Greece. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or St. John the Evangelist Church in his memory.
