•Popowich, Glenn S., of Irondequoit, formerly of Spencerport, died suddenly June 12, 2010, at the age of 61. Predeceased by his father Stephen. Glenn is survived by his loving and devoted family.

BROCKPORT
•Butler, Patrick L., On June 19, 2010 at the age of 72. Predeceased by his brothers Robert and Richard Butler and his brother-in-law Walter Prosser. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Alberta; children Daniel (Marla), Brenda (Charles) Welch, Shawn (Val), Christopher; 15 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law and their spouses and many nieces and nephews. Patrick was a Past District Governor of the Lions Club and involved in many community organizations.
A Funeral Mass was said June 23 at the Nativity Church BVM, Brockport. Interment White Haven Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Rochester Northside Lions Club in his memory.
•Hiebler, William T., Suddenly on June 21, 2010 at age 58. Predeceased by his father Theodore Hiebler, sister Ann Marie Hiebler and brother-in-law Steve Scipioni. Survived by his loving mother Ruth; sister Mary Ann Scipioni; brother Tom (Denise) Hiebler; nieces and nephews: Katie and Kristie Scipioni, Eric (Renee) Hiebler and Julie (Paul) Knorr; great niece and nephew Carlie Rose and Jack Thomas; aunts and cousins.
A Memorial Mass was said June 26 at St. Pius X Church, Chili. Private interment, St. Pius X Cemetery. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.
•Pajek, Shirley, On June 22, 2010 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband, Raymond. She is survived by her children, Carolyn (Terry) Dunlap, Michael (Sharon), Steven (Janine), Lana (Vincent) Meli, Andrew, and Rachel Richardson; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Russell (Shirley) LeBlanc; sister Phyllis (Tony) Sylva and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was said June 25 at the Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
•Brown, Paul Sr., June 21, 2010. Predeceased by his wife Donna Brown. Survived by his children Luann Brown, Sharyl (Dan) Robinson, Dawn Andrews, Paul Brown Jr. and Dan (Sherry) Brown; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; faithful companion Bandit.

•Palmer, Elsie C., June 18, 2010, at the age of 85. Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Charles Richard Palmer, siblings, Etta Bridgeman, Eleanor Hall, Kenneth Thurley, Alvin Thurley, Norman Thurley, Evelyn Parson, and Floyd Thurley. She is survived by her siblings, Clyde Thurley, Jean (Arthur) Jones; sisters-in-law Millie Thurley and Liz Thurley; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

•Sherwood, Margaret Ann (Ryan), died June 19, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband of 21 years, Walter E. Sherwood, and brothers David and Jack Ryan, and her sister Mary Ueblacker. She is survived by her children and their spouses Debbie and Chris Denfeld; Diane and Mark Moon; Brian and Kim Sherwood, Jeff and Karen Sherwood, Don and Pam Sherwood, Peg and Delbe Spath, Barb and Tim Oliver, Julie Sherwood; 18 grandchildren; her siblings James Ryan, Rita (Sal) Ridley, Joseph and Marion Ryan, Agnes and Jack Forsyth, Richard and Marion Ryan, Ellen and Dick Dinehart, Jean and Tom Brook and many nieces, nephews, their children and families.

•McCormick, Doris, (formerly of Holley). There will be Memorial and Interment of Ashes ceremony followed by a reception for Doris McCormick, Tuesday, July 6 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 34 East Albion Street, Holley, NY.
•Wilkin, Beverly J., June 21, 2010. Survived by her husband, Tom; children Christopher (Deby) Wilkin, Ellen (Dave Wiley) Wilkin, Paul (Julie) Wilkin, Kevin (Ellen Faye) Wilkin, Wendy (John) Dunn; grandchildren, Katherine, James, Dylan, Miles, Charlotte; sisters and brothers, Eileen, Kathleen, Jim, John. She was a member of Literacy Volunteers and Southern Poverty Law Center.
A Memorial Mass was said June 26 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.

•Sample, Charles B., On June 21, 2010 at the age of 78. Predeceased by his brother William. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Valerie; sons James W. Sample, Charles A. (Laurie) Sample and their mother Joan B.; daughters Teresa Smith and Melanie Smith; grandchildren Adam Sample, Cody, Justin and Edward Stritzinger.

•Pickett, Adin R.C., Age 88, died June 20, 2010. Predeceased by his sisters Helen, Melva, Norma. Survived by his wife Ellen of 63 years; son Adin C. Collins of Barre Center; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Walters, Willie Pearl, On June 17, 2010, at the age of 84. Predeceased by her parents, husband Preston, daughter Dorothy Williams; four brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her sons, Frank Griffin Jr. and Willie (Molly) Willliams; grandson Frank Griffin III; four sisters; one sister-in-law; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

NORTH CHILI
•Guilfoos, S. K. Gus, Suddenly on June 20, 2010 at age 63. Survived by his wife, Janet; children, Gretchen (Lorne) Fordham, Christopher (Paige) Nagle, Jay Penfield; grandchildren, Joey, Jimi, Camden and Kinsley; brothers, Steven (Mary) Guilfoos, Martin (Michelle) Guilfoos; sister, Joan (Donald) Werdein; and uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 25 at Spiritus Christi Church, Rochester. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in his memory.

•Betlem, George Robert, June 16, 2010 at age 87. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Heidi and daughters Marcia Betlem, Laurie Betlem, and Joanne Betlem Kehr and her husband Philip, their son Terry and their grandson Aiden.
Services will be private. In remembrance of George’s life, friends are encouraged to make a donation to the charity of their choice.
•Nothstein, Michael Keith, Died June 19, 2010 after a long illness, at the age of 59. He is survived by his parents, Lucille and Bill Nothstein of Macedon; two sisters, Nancy (Ford) Knight of Seneca Falls and Penny (Chuck) Clemson of Lebanon, Tennessee; his long time life partner, Donna Mae Daum of Ogdensburg; three step sons Christopher, Scott and Jeremy Daum, all of Rochester area; three grandchildren, Jeremy Justin and James Daum-Lewis; two nephews, Charles Clifford Knight, Jr. and Dennis Michael Knight of Seneca Falls; two nieces Andrea Stack and April Creech of Lebanon, Tennessee. He worked at Kodak for many years as a tool and die maker. He was keenly interested in hunting, fishing, Spencerport High School Wrestling and Football.
A Memorial Service was held June 25 at Walker Brothers Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.
