•Cutaia, Stefano, of Red Creek, died June 12, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona. Stefano was born in Grotte, Agrigento Sicily June 11, 1947. He emigrated to Rochester, NY in 1968 and retired from Xerox in Webster. He is survived by his wife Charlene of Mesa, Arizona; his son Alfonso Cutaia of Lockport; his daughter Concetta Cutaia of Holley; foster daughter Heather (Mark) Heindl; two grandsons; three granddaughters; brothers, Salvatore Cutaia of Irondequoit, Calogero Cutaia of Grotte, Sicily; sisters, Giovanna Arnone of Germany, Graziella Cavallaro of Grotte, Sicily; many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and ex-wife Pietra Castelli. Predeceased by his sister Mary Croce.

A Memorial Service was held June 26 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley.

BROCKPORT

•Eckerty, Wilma A., age 90, of Brockport died June 26, 2010 at Absolut Care at Three Rivers in Painted Post. Wilma was born in Rochester on October 17, 1919, the daughter of Allen and Laura (Brockway) Arnold. She married Robert Carter in 1944 who preceded her in death in 1953. In 1979, she married Ray Eckerty who preceded her in death in 1984. Wilma’s family history began with the founder of Brockport, Heil Brockway. She was the granddaughter of Heil and enjoyed sharing her knowledge of the Brockway family with many people. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brockport for 90 years. She is survived by her daughter, Vivian (Carter) Getman and husband Robert of Painted Post, New York; granddaughter, Kimberly Johnston (Phil Nudd); step daughter, Kathy Beaumont (husband Paul, children, Scott and Tammy); three nephews: Edward Coopenberg (Bonnie), Raymond Coopenberg (Patti) and Robert Coopenberg (Betty); one niece, Barbara Carter; step granddaughters and family, Kevin and Janine Seigler, Scott and Joanne Seigler. Also, special friends, Mike and Sherril Johnston and Carol and Tammy Pierson of Corning.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials can be made in Wilma’s name to Lollypop Farm, P.O. Box 92297, Rochester, NY 14692-0297 or to the Southern Tier Hospice & Palliative Care, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830.

Wife of the late Joseph Price and Richard Harmor; mother of Patricia “Patsy” (Terence) Petras of Brockport; grandmother of Pamela (Jon) Meyer of Ohio and Mark (Jenny) Petras of Henrietta; great-grandmother of Tyler and Caitlyn Meyer of Ohio and Zachary and Blake Petras of Henrietta; sister of the late William Krull and Aloise Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said July 2 at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph Site, Batavia. Contributions can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005 in her memory.
