BERGEN
Donley, Richard E. Sr., died September 9, 2008 at age 72. Survived by two sons, Samuel (Kim) Donley of Holley and Richard E. Donley Jr. of Bergen; a daughter Julia (Michael Shortt) Donley of Byron; a grandson, Thomas (Jennifer) Donley of Holley; a great grandson, Caleb Donley of Holley; several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services and burial were held privately. Contributions can be made to Crossroads House, P.O. Box 403, Batavia, NY 14021 in his memory.
BROCKPORT
Harster, Arnold C., September 4, 2008. Survived by his wife, Arlene (Duff) Harster; sisters, Edith (Stanley), Margaret (Harold); brother, Herbert; step-children, Dan and Tim Duff, Cindy Herzog (Paul); step grandchildren, Derek and Jessica Herzog, Jeffrey, Tyler and Breanna Duff, Barbara Harster; nieces and nephews. Arnie served as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. Was a Cornell graduate and retiree from the Rochester Psychiatric Center, where he was personnel director.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 14 at 11:30 at the United Methodist Church, 92 Main Street, Brockport. Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his memory.
Luzius, Gordon W., on September 4, 2008 at the age of 48. He is survived by his children Justin, Matthew, Samantha and their mother Karen Sorce; his brothers Fred, Alan, Charles, Ronald, Denny; sisters Corky, Pat, Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment, Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to Richard House, 290 Cypress Street, Rochester 14620 in his memory.
CHILI
O'Geen, Richard C., September 1, 2008 at age 59. Survived by mother, Josephine Drayo O'Geen; father, Louis O'Geen (Betty); sister, Roberta Svendsen; brother, Robert O'Geen; nephews, Brian (Cheryl) and Erik Svendsen and five great nieces.
A Funeral Mass was said September 8 at St. Joseph's Church, LeRoy. Interment, St. Francis Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the family in his memory.
CLARENDON
Tiller, Rena Fess, age 96, died September 10, 2008. Survived by children, Jean Cutt of Rochester, Nancy (Robert) Lavender of Holley; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Sylvester Fess, daughter Sylvia and sisters, Fern Sovereign, Elsie Vink and Bernice Boylan. Rena worked at Taylor Instruments in Rochester for 33 years before retiring, was Past President of the NYS Does' Association.
Burial in Hillside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Clarendon Fire Department in her memory.
HAMLIN
Ackroyd, Christopher T. Sr., Died unexpectedly on September 8, 2008. Predeceased by his mother Helen Ackroyd. He is survived by his father John Ackroyd; brothers Michael (Gail) Ackroyd of Cohocton and Jack Ackroyd; his sons, Christopher (Tanya) Ackroyd, Richard (Lisa) Lorek of Brockport, Michael (Mary) Lorek and Steven (Tracy) Lorek of Melbourne, Florida; three grandchildren Brandon, Brittney and Jacob Lorek; nephew Michael Ackroyd and many loved cousins, family and friends.
A Memorial Service was held September 12 at the Brockport Free Methodist Church, Brockport. Donations can be sent to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Virginia 22312 in his memory.
HILTON
Butkowsky, Joseph Benjamin, September 7, 2008, age 80. Survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Jean Butkowsky; children, Catherine (Thomas) Redding, Christine, Gregory and Andrew Butkowsky; grandchildren, Gregory (Dr. Emily) Redding and Breigh Redding. Predeceased by his daughter, Miriam Hasman.
Joseph graduated from St. Bonaventure University and retired from Eastman Kodak. He was one of the founders of the Monroe County Conservative Party.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated September 11 at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Contributions can be made to Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd., Rochester in his memory.
SPENCERPORT
Mucha, Stephen P., September 7, 2008. Predeceased by his parents, Steve and Frances Mucha. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Cindy (Maier); daughter, Tracy (Frank Mahns) Mucha; sister, Marion Goebel; brothers, Frank (Lorraine), Terry, Mark (Diane) and Michael Mucha; mother and father-in-law, William and Joan Maier; brothers-in-law, Jim (Deb), Tom (Sharon), and Tim Maier; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great grandnieces and nephews; dear friends, Rick and Patty Grogg, Bob and Debbie McCurdy, Norm and Patty Bergeson, Mark and Cheryl Lawson and "the old Elmgrove Inn gang."
A Memorial Mass was celebrated September 11 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the family in his memory.
