AREA
Herrick, Mary Jane, age 82, died September 10, 2008 at the St. John's Home in Rochester after a long illness. She was predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth (Betsy) Camp, Dwight, William and Dr. Marvin Herrick.
Mary grew up in Dansville, where she attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Dansville High School Class of 1943. She worked at F.A. Owen Publishing Company, Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. and for Dr. Victor Breen. After attending SUNY Geneseo for 10 years, she graduated in 1975 with a degree in speech pathology and audiology. While in Rochester, she volunteered at Strong Memorial Hospital and worked as a Life Line Counselor. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Hamlin. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Nancy Applin (Richard Marsden) Pierce of Hamlin and several nieces and nephews; best friend Marie DeCosta of the St. John's Home, many friends in Hamlin, Kendall and at the St. John's Meadows and St. John's Home in Rochester.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held September 15 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. Contributions can be made to the St. John's Home or the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in her memory
BROCKPORT
Benz, William T. "Bill", Navy veteran and proud Irishman, Bill died at Highland Hospital on September 13, 2008 at the age of 62, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his beloved Hannah, who passed in April. He is survived by his children Bridget Striker and Fred Benz, and his sister Carol (Thomas) Hanyak and her family. Bill was a loving grandfather to Amber, Cameron, Codey, and Rhonda. He was a beloved uncle to David and Mary Beth and great uncle to Matthew and Sara. Bill was employed at SUNY Brockport for 18 years before retiring in 1992. He loved working with the public and since retiring, he has owned a model train shop in Brockport and worked at various IGA's within the community.
A Funeral Mass was said September 18 at the Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Interment, Lake View Cemetery.
Brandenburg, Bryant K., September 5, 2008 at age 45. He is survived by his son Zac T. Brandenburg; his parents Thomas and Glenna Brandenburg; brothers, John E. and Paul D. Brandenburg; sister, Connie (Donald) Fiedler; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A Memorial Service was held September 13 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Contributions can be made to Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in his memory.
Chaffee, Theodore R., Jr., September 12, 2008. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen D.; daughters, Sandra (Mark) Nolette, Debra (Mark) Jock, Becky (Roger) Benham and Linda (Tim) Gokey; son, Theodore D. (Marsha) Chaffee; 10 brothers and sisters; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Theodore was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Service at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to the March of Dimes in his memory.

Penders, Gayle W. (Lemon), died September 13, 2008. Gayle is predeceased by parents Arthur and Hazel Wilson; grandson Erik D. Lemon; daughter Karen Sue Pusey. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend William "Bud" Penders; her beloved sons, Steve (Isabella) Lemon, Brian (Patricia) Lemon, stepsons, David Penders, Tom (Jana) Penders, Steve (Eileen) Penders; brothers and sister, David (Karen) Wilson, Shirley (Raymond) Mallaber, Donald (Barbara) Wilson; grandchildren, Stephanie, Josh, David Lemon, Richard, Jonathan Schill, Laura, Michael Petruzelli, Jenelle, Emily, Rachel, Ian, Dillon, Max, Mia and William Penders; many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Gayle was a 27 year employee at Hilton Central School District, retiring as Secretary to the Superintendent. She is a former member of Hilton United Methodist Church, Edgewater United Methodist Church in Edgewater, Florida and Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Greece.
Funeral Services were held September 17 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Donations can be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Capital Project, 4115 Dewey Avenue, Rochester 14616 in her memory.
HILTON
Page, William G. Sr., on September 12, 2008, age 78. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Goodenbury-Page; his children, William II, Patricia (Penny Summers), and Scott Page; stepchildren, Paula (Ronald) Birch, Jan (Barry) Fahmer, Lynn (Scott) Piper; two sisters, Barbara Brindley and Nancy (James) Blum; nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his first wife, Denise "Dinny," 2001, and his son, Mark, 1992.
Funeral Services were held September 16 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Private interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
Rodwell, Gary A., September 15, 2008, age 67. He is survived by his beloved wife Alice (Haus) Rodwell; sisters-in-law, Sally (Mark) Herington and Betty Rodwell; brother-in-law, Arthur (Sandra) Haus; mother-in-law, Jean House; nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, special cousins and friends.

Beeman, Richard W. "Dick," suddenly September 15, 2008 at age 70. Survived by and most beloved husband to Priscilla A. Beeman for 51 years; beloved father of Scott (Louise), Darcy (Chris), Douglas and Amy; cher-ished grandfather of Libby (Matt) LeVan, Cassidy (Josh), Clay (Christine) Beeman, Tharin Beeman and Julian Maltby; his adored great grandchildren, Chloe and Ben LaVan of Florida; his favorite sister, Carol (Bob) Sodoma; brother, Bob Beeman; in-laws, Vernon and Margie Tyner of Avoca, New York; his aunt, Lillian Beeman; aunt and uncle, Eunice and Harvey Dudley; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dick was a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local #86 since 1956 and the Brockport Elks Club.
