•Putney, Mary A., of Caledonia, died September 25, 2010 at age 69. She is survived by her fiancé, Melvin Izbinski; her children, Timothy (Shirley) Putney, Marjorie Kucy, Thomas Putney, James (Donna) Putney; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Maurer, Margaret (Earl) Foster, Theresa Brongo, Laurie Hamilton; brothers, Charles (Carol), Francis (JoAnne), Donald and Henry Maier; brothers-in-law, Duane (Louise) Putney and Loren Putney; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie West; sister Dorothy Ciaccia and brother, John Maier.
A Memorial Mass was said September 29 at St. Agnes Church, Avon. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Autism Society, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association in her memory.
BROCKPORT
•Lanni, Alicia K., On September 19, 2010 at the age of 27. Predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Julia King. She is survived by her husband Jeremy; children Areanna age 8, and Malorie age 5; mother Kathy King; father Donnall (Stephanie) King; one brother; four sisters; grandparents Fred (Dorothy) Carter; many other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral Services were held September 26 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Lake View Cemetery.
•Matela, Anne (Flor), age 89, died September 21, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Matela, her daughter Anne Marie Kuniskis, and her sons-in-law John Kuniskis and Russ Ramer. She is survived by her brother Joseph (Jean) Flor (Dayton, Ohio); her sister Josephine Cane (Buffalo); sons Joseph (Josephine) Matela and Anthony (Glenna) Matela; daughters Donna Ramer, Elizabeth (Bill) Marlowe, and Virginia (Brian) Wilson. She is survived by 19 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass was held October 2 at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hamlin. Private Interment at the convenience of the family.
CHILI
•Cardillo, Charles Robert Sr., died September 24, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. Survived by his wife, Wanda Cardillo (Merkel); sons, Paul (Karen), David (Louise), Charles, Jr.; sister, Joyce and brother, Tom; nine grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was said September 27 at St. Christopher’s Church, North Chili. Donations can be made to Lifetime Care-Hospice of Rochester, 3311 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623 in his memory.
CHURCHVILLE
•Sandow, Howard A., Formerly of Brockport, died September 21, 2010 at age 85. He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Louise, two brothers, William and Fred and two sisters Ruth and Minnie. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Nellie (Youngs); two sons Carl and Roger; daughter Dorothy Wannike (William Gray); one brother-in-law David (Anh) Youngs; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason (Jen), Brian, David, Sarah, Kirstin, Amy, Kelly, Jeremy (Melissa), Ciara, Ashley; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
There will be a Memorial Service at a later date. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association or Lollypop Farm in his memory.
CLARKSON
•Massar, B. William, September 25, 2010. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army, he worked for the US Postal Service and was the founder and previous owner of Clarkson Auto Electric. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Helen; his daughter, Susan (Gary Heard) of Rochester and three sons, David of Boston, Massachusetts, Richard of Rochester and Gary (Mary) of Livonia; three stepchildren, Kenneth Highland of Boston, Massachusetts, Thomas Highland (Karen) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Julie Pruss (John) of Brockport; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five siblings, Caroline Paddock, Alex, Joseph, George, Dominic and Rev. Richard Massar. He was predeceased by two siblings, Carmella Stark and Tim Massar.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated October 1 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, Hamlin. Burial in West Clarkson Cemetery, West Clarkson. •Hermance, Scott P., September 24, 2010, age 47. Survived by his father, Paul (Jean) Hermance; sisters, Tarry L. Adriaansen, Bonnie J. (Wayne) Klingelsmith, Cindy (Dan) Wiler; step-brother, Scott (Missy) Padoleski; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Hermance and his nephew, Shad Wiler.

•McDonald, Ninetta (Gioia), September 25, 2010, in Florida. Survived by her daughter, Gina McDonald; her parents, Al and Mary Jane (Day) Gioia; brothers, Ed and Paul Gioia; sister, Betsy and their families; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A Celebration of Ninetta’s Life was held October 1.

•LaPoint, Clara J., RN, September 28, 2010, age 93. Predeceased by daughter Susan in 1977. Survived by daughter Nancy (Robert) Harris; son-in-law, George (Janet) Mallette; grandchildren, Keirstan Harris-Thompson, Allisa (Stephen) Cole, Jennifer (Robert) Edmiston, Mark (Beth) Mallette; great-granddaughter, Dakota Thompson; nephew, C. Douglas (Ilene) Fogerty; niece, Ruth Bennett; as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held October 4 at 1 p.m. in Hillside Cemetery, Holley. Contributions can be made to Lakeside-Beikirch Care Center or Hospice in her memory.
•Pera, John A., WWII Veteran, age 87, died September 26, 2010. He was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl Pera LeStorti and grandson Eddy LeStorti. He is survived by his children, Marlene (Roy) Kenyon of Holley, John (Cindy) Pera of Kendall, Robin Pera of Spencerport, Pamela (Rich) Barnard of Byron, Vicki (Art) Degrenia of Florida; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; special nephews Harry (Audrey) Bower of Brockport, Steven (Bobbie) Gentile of Hilton.
A Memorial Service was held September 29 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery with full military honors. Contributions can be made to the Eastern Orleans Community Center in his memory.
•Rohland, Ronald R. “Ronnie,” Age 76, died September 22, 2010. Predeceased by sister Connie Stuhlmiller, brother David. Survived by wife Ann of 56 years; daughters, Roxann (Robert) Taylor of Holley, Pamela (James Geraci) Herring of Holley; grandchildren, Allison, Ashley, Robby Taylor, Arica (David) Morrill, Billy Herring; great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Jessica Morrill; brother James (Grace) Rohland of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

•Culp, Edith Mae (Lewis), died September 18, 2010 at age 89. Predeceased by her husband, Peter. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Joanne), Daniel (Diane) and Eric (Nancy) Culp; daughter, Janell (Robert) Zawacki; step-daughter, Donna (Peter) Henry; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Lewis; sisters-in-law, Florence Lewis and Beverly Lewis; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth, Francis, Everett, Donald and Charles Lewis.

•Drury, Rick G., September 26, 2010 at age 55. He was predeceased by his parents, Diane Q. and Jerry Drury. He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Donna Drury; son, Rick Drury; sister, Deborah (Tim White) Drury; nieces, grand-nieces, grand-nephew and many cousins.

•Leo, Linda A. (Schied), September 27, 2010, at age 61. Survived by special companion, Owen Galland; mother, Elizabeth Schied; loving children, Michelle (Hob) Hazzan, Karen (Jason) Kirkey, Kristin (Mark) Leo, Brian (Dawn) Galland, Robin (Rob) Galland; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandie (Jim) Leahy, Kathie (Robert) Clarke, Beth (Ed) Grove; brothers, Richard (Sharon) and Dan (Mary) Schied; many nieces and nephews. •Schweikert, Richard C. “Dick,” September 26, 2010. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane (Mead); daughter, Kate Clement; son, Douglas (Darsi) Schweikert; grandchildren, Cody Clement, Kristina, Kelly and Tyler Schweikert; sister, Jane (James) Cox of Hamburg; brother-in-law Glenn (Marlene) Mead of Victor; sister-in-law, Mary (Edwin) Gwynne of Hamburg; many nieces, nephews, dear friends and Sophie. Dick retired from Waste Management.
