•Trimble, Betty, of Chili and Hamlin, December 20, 2009. Predeceased by her husband, James. Survived by two daughters, Diane (Rodger) Chenier, Lisa (David) Ritzel; two grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Ritzel; two sisters, Carole (William) Coachman, JoAnne (Robert) Ford; several nieces and nephews.

Private services and interment at Grove Place Cemetery. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Cody, William J., peacefully on December 17, 2009. Survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Debra M. Cody; loving daughter Sara Lillian Cody-Carey; son-in-law Matthew S. Carey; dearest friend and legal assistant, Darlene J. Nichols; his parents, Leo and Lillian Cody; brothers Leo II (Debra A.), James, Gerard (Jane); nieces Michelle and Grace; nephews Leo III, Matthew and Liam; beloved brother-in-law to Cheryl (John) Malley, Donna (Bill) Fullerton, Pamela (Ewing) Parker and Scott (Karen) Ewing; nieces Lisa, Jennifer, Marisa and McKenna; nephews Curtis, Richard, Gregory, Brian, Michael, Christopher and Earl; son-in-law to Earl C. Ewing and Rosalie D. Ewing. Mr. Cody was a member of the NY State and Massachusetts Bar Associations, practicing law in the Village of Brockport since 1982, the Town of Sweden Justice since 2001, member of the NY State Magistrates Association, member and past President of the Monroe County Magistrates Association. He was a devout Roman Catholic, parishioner and lector of the Nativity Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mr. Cody was also a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1980, past Grand Knight of Webster Council, and past District Deputy.

A Funeral Mass was said December 21 at the Nativity Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Nativity Church (Martha Ministries, RCIA and/or Mt. Olivet Cemetery) or to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in his memory.


•Gardner, Clarence B., On December 19, 2009 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his wife, Doris, sister, Alice. He is survived by his son Alan (Ave); daughter Sharon (Dan) Scholand; grandchildren, Tammy and Jenny Gardner, Brenda, Shelly and Jeff (Darlene) Capamaggio and Danielle Scholand; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Julie Beyer, Irene Bertsch, Monica (Jerry) Webster; brother James (Anna) Gardner.

Funeral Services were held December 23 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Lake View Cemetery, Brockport in the spring. Contributions can be made to the Brockport VFW in his memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Craig, William L., December 16, 2009. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Florence. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gail; children, Doug (Donna), Sharon (Jamie) DeBottis, Karen (Todd) Cunningham, Jim (Gail), Barbara (Dave) George; grandchildren, Bob (Liz) and Corey Craig, Jim (Nicole) DeBottis, Chrissy DeBottis, Krystal (Adam) Field, Rachael Cunningham, Jesse, Shana and Trisha Craig, Megan and David George; sister, Missy (Jerry) Mertz Wall; brother, Don (Audrey) Craig; several nieces and nephews. Bill was a longtime member of Chili American Legion Post #1830 and VFW #412.

Funeral Services were held December 21 at Church of the Epiphany, Gates. Interment, Riga Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Churchville Fire Department or Camp Good Days and Special Times in his memory.


•Cristantello, Samuel J., December 19, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife, Mary Cristantello. Survived by his daughters, Janet (Robert) McMichael, Jean (Bernie) Bauer, and Carol (David) Micheli; grandchildren, Scott (Debbie) McMichael, Todd (Mary) McMichael, Adam (Michelle) McMichael, Joseph Terrana, Michael Terrana, Vincent Terrana, BJ Bauer, Carrie (Vesko) Nikolov, David Jr. (Sherri) Micheli; Dana (Kurt) Brunner and Dena (Timothy) Wheatley; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Polly and Yolanda; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and many dear friends.

•Bennett, John W., December 16, 2009, age 78. Survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Huffer); children, Vicki (Ron) Breslawski, Deb (Vern) Jesien; grandchildren, Brent and Rachel Jesien, Rich, Andy and Eddy Breslawski; his sister, Marge (Ken) Walter; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbors.

A Service in Celebration of John’s Life was held December 20 at Hilton Baptist Church. Contributions can be made to Hilton Baptist Church Memorial Fund in his memory.


•Greenauer, Lillian L. (Lambert), December 19, 2009, at age 103. Predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Edward J. Greenauer. She is survived by her daughters, Joan (James) Jackling and Carol (David) Shares; foster son, Charles (Irene) Ewald; grandchildren, Daniel Jackling, Jeffrey (Monica) Jackling, Glenn Jackling, Kenneth (Karen) Shares, Brian Shares and Karen (Michael) Murray; 23 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Sally (Robert) Hughes and Beatrice Benedict; many friends.

•LaBorie, Ronald W., December 15, 2009, age 72. Predeceased by his parents, Francis and Catherine LaBorie. Survived by his devoted wife, Janet (Cropsey) LaBorie; his children Jill (JP) St. Jacques, Keith LaBorie and Sharon LaBorie; his sister, Marilyn Shuten; two nieces, a nephew and several cousins. Ron graduated from Irondequoit High School and RIT.

A Memorial Service will be announced after the Holidays. Contributions can be made to Hilton United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, or Alzheimer’s Association of Rochester in his memory.


•Quinlan, Thelma (Moran), December 19, 2009, age 85. Predeceased by her husband, John Quinlan, 2007. Survived by her nieces and nephews, Christine (Burt) Young, Rick (Pam) Moran, Wendy (Norm) Ringelberg, Paula (Dwight) Taylor, Linda (Keith) Borjes, Daniel (Kathy) Moran, Karen Waterman, Charles (Tamisha) Quinlan and Ellen Crouse; brothers and sisters-in-law, Reba Steely, Clarence (Gloria) Quinlan and Warham Quinlan; many great-nieces and nephews.

•Widenmyer, James P. “Jim,” On December 8, 2009. Predeceased by his parents, Paul E. Widenmyer and Alma A. (Erwine) Widenmyer. Survived by his wife, Shelia (Murray) Widenmyer of 41 years; daughter, Deborah W. (Ronald) Evans; grandson, Jacob M. Hutchings of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Parry, Betty (Andy) Schery, Texas, Wayne, David (Regina), Dennis (Kristen) Murray; and many nieces and nephews.
