Spencerport Lions honored
At their annual picnic, the following Spencerport Lions were honored for service to Lions and the community.
Lion Richard Eichorn was honored with a Melvin Jones Fellowship for his commitment to the Spencerport Lions Club by its members. He has worked on all the projects of the club, especially the College Night on the Mall. His business knowledge has helped to steer the club in managing the many projects in which they are involved.
A Melvin Jones Fellowship is the highest honor available to rank and file Lions. A donation of $1,000 was made to the Lions Clubs International fund in his name.
Lion Ross Vasbinder was honored with a Robert J. Uplinger Distinguished Service Award. He has participated in the "Diabetes Bike A Thon" which raises money for diabetes research. The award was from the District 20-E1 Leadership and a donation of $250 was made to the New York State Foundation in his name.
Lion Ed Nau was also honored with a Robert Uplinger Distinguished Service Award.
