Cosgrove teams raise funds

Cosgrove Middle School welcomed some furry friends into school October 12 as part of Spirit Week, also Homecoming Week for the district. One of the Spirit Week teams, the Delta Team, raised $375 for Lollypop Farm. During the visit, students met one dog, two cats and a bunny. The Delta Team's donation will help purchase items on the wish list, such as pet food and supplies and laundry supplies. Delta Team students will visit Lollypop Farm in the spring to see how their money has been used.

Cosgrove students raised a total of $2,258 during Spirit Week for a variety of organizations. In addition to the Delta Team's efforts for Lollypop Farm, the Epsilon Team raised $230 for the Ronald McDonald House; the Beta Team raised $352 for Hunter's Hope; the Alpha Team raised $453 for the Make a Wish Foundation; the Gamma Team raised $394 for the Strong Children's Fund; and the Omega Team raised $454 for the Cystic Fibrosis Society.
