Five Spencerport High School students have been named semi-finalists in the 2001 National Merit Scholarship Program. John Annechino, Kathleen Carroll, Erin Korber, Douglas Markant and Jeff Sickelco will now compete with 16,000 other students in the competition for Merit Scholarship awards to be offered in the spring. Semi-finalists have the highest scores in their state and represent less than one percent of each state's high school seniors.
