The Hilton High School Hockey Boosters will sponsor an open ice skating benefit on Saturday, December 9 for the Robby Coppaway Memorial Scholarship Fund. The event will be held from 8:15 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the ESL Sport Centre, 2700 Brighton Henrietta Town Line Road (on the MCC campus). The scholarship fund is named after Rob Coppaway, a 1999 Hilton High School graduate and four-year varsity hockey player. Coppaway died last December in a car accident while attending college at Fleming University in Peterborough, Canada. Donations for the skate benefit are $2 per person and $5 per family. All other donations are welcome. Skate rental will be available at a reduced rate.
