Geneva tops Churchville-Chili
In the third game of the young 2000-01 season, the Saints lost their second game in a row to Geneva-Desales 6-1 November 28 at Scottsville Arena. Devin Poole had a hat trick, two of the shorthanded variety, and a four-point game to lead Geneva.
The Saints broke up the shutout bid with just :43 left in the game on a goal by junior Mike Lima with assists from junior Paul Marfione and senior assistant captain Ryan Perry. Freshman Dan Ramirez faced 38 shots making 32 saves in net for Churchville-Chili.
Head Coach Jim Jackson wasn't happy following the game. "We stopped working and when we stop working, we're not going to win. They beat to the loose pucks most of the game." The Saints play Brockport at SUNY Brockport this Wednesday, December 13 and pre-season favorite Irondequoit Saturday, December 16 at Lakeshore.
