Holley students take
limo ride to lunch
Some Holley third-graders recently hopped aboard a stretch limousine and rode in style to the McDonald's restaurant in Brockport, where they had lunch. The trip was the students' reward for having raised the most money during the school's second annual Read-a-thon. Over 50 students participated in the Read-a-thon on November 8 by gathering pledges or getting a flat donation, then reading in the school cafeteria after classes. In just two hours, they raised $4,000, which will be used to purchase a new playground. The students have been raising money for the playground over the past year because the old playground had to be eliminated to accommodate new classrooms.
