Gates Library to celebrate 40th anniversary
Gates Public Library will celebrate 40 years of service to the community with an open house on Sunday, January 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. All are invited to enjoy music provided courtesy of Dean Eckberg, with a small group from Gates Chili High School at 2 p.m. and a Bubble Mania performance by Doug Rougeux at 3:30 p.m. Refreshments, washable tattoos, and door prizes will round out the afternoon festivities.
Since a fortieth anniversary is a Ruby Anniversary, the theme for this event is "The Price of Wisdom is Above Rubies." A snow date, in case of inclement weather, will be January 14.
