Monroe County Library System
takes overdue materials seriously
The Monroe County Library, which includes the Ogden Farmers' Library in Spencerport, has contracted with a collection agency to assist in recovering overdue materials and unpaid fines.
Non-returned books, videos, CDs and other items mean that other community residents are unable to borrow those items when they need them. Replacing lost materials is costly. To protect taxpayer dollars, the library must make every effort to recover lost materials and unpaid fines.
All unresolved accounts totaling $50 or more will be turned over to Unique Management Services, Inc. beginning March 1. Anyone with library materials that are overdue or with unpaid fines on materials already returned, should visit the library to resolve the matter before March 1. Residents of Ogden and Spencerport should contact Patricia Uttaro, Library Director, at the Ogden Farmers' Library, 352-2141.
