Genesee Community College staff members are putting the finishing touches on the college's Open House and "Instant Admit" Day, scheduled Tuesday, January 9. The event is expected to draw more than 100 visitors to the Batavia Campus and to Campus Centers located in Lakeville, Albion, Warsaw and Arcade.

During the Open House, which runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., area residents can visit the Batavia Campus or any Campus Center, complete admissions applications for the Spring 2001 semester, be accepted, and register for classes all at the same time. Reservations are not required, although individuals can call the college for more information: Batavia Campus (345-6800); Livingston Campus Center (346-5070); Orleans Campus Center (589-4936); Wyoming Campus Center at Warsaw (786-3010); Wyoming Campus Center at Arcade (492-5265).

During the January 9 event, visitors will also be able to meet staff members, receive informal academic and career advice, learn about and apply for college financial assistance, and receive answers to questions about college study at Genesee.

The Spring Semester begins January 16. Students can work toward any of 44 different degree or certificate programs at Genesee.
