The Chili Town Board held its annual organizational meeting on January 3. Several appointments were made including deputy supervisor, historian and director of finance, town attorneys, insurance counselor, and town engineer.

The salaries for every employee in the town were established including elected officials, department heads, and union members. Even though the salaries are determined during the budget process, they do not take effect until the town board officially sets them at the annual meeting. The Town Board also renewed operating policies such as the ones for purchasing and establishing procedures for conduct of meetings.

At the January 17 meeting, appointments and/or reappointments to various boards and committees will be made.
