Holley welcomes new school business administrator

The Holley Central School District has hired Theodore J. Welch as its school business administrator. He replaces Cathleen Milliman, who took a position as assistant superintendent for business and personnel with the Marcus Whitman Central School District.

Before accepting the position at Holley, Welch was assistant superintendent for business for the Clyde-Savannah Central School District, a position he held since 1999. He's also been employed as coordinator of compensation and benefits, and financial consultant for the East Irondequoit Central School District, director of Real Property Services/assistant finance director for the Town of Parma, and is currently an adjunct faculty member at SUNY Brockport. Welch is also vice president of the Hilton Board of Education. He's served on the board since 1996.

Welch's education includes a bachelor's degree in professional studies, a master's degree in public administration and a certificate of advanced study in school business administration from SUNY Brockport. Currently, he is working on a certificate of human resources studies at Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

In his new position, Welch is responsible for the district's finances, budgeting, accounting and long range planning. He also has some personnel responsibilities. "I'm very impressed with the welcome I've received in Holley and look forward to a long and happy tenure here," he said.

Welch is a resident of Hilton. He and his wife, Nancy, have three teenage daughters.
