The Roberts Wesleyan College-Community Orchestra will conduct a search for a celebratory fanfare written for an orchestra. The contest is open to any serious musician, or budding composer. Manuscripts which will be judged by the RWCCO Fanfare Contest Committee must be submitted by March 2. Cash prizes of $500 each will be awarded to the two composers whose works are selected. The winning compositions will be premiered at the April 28 concert.

Rules for the contest are: work must be a new composition and playable by community orchestra; performance time must be 2-4 minutes; fanfare instrumentation: 2222 4321 timpani, percussion, optional harp and strings.

The deadline for score is March 2; for parts - March 12. Each entry must be accompanied by a non-refundable $10 application fee. Check may be made out to the RWCCO and should be included with the score. Entries are to be mailed to: Nelson Hill at Pearce Memorial Church, 4322 Buffalo Road, North Chili, NY 14514.
