ALBION
DePoty, Wilbur E., Suddenly, on January 30, 2001 at the age of 70. Mr. DePoty was born in Albion to the parents of Francis (Edna Downey) DePoty and has resided in this area his entire life. Mr. DePoty was the owner of the Carton Road Enterprises Salvage Yard for many years.
Mr. DePoty was predeceased by two of his children, Kathryn and Ronnie. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Inez, and his children, Betty Ann DePoty of North Carolina, Eugene (Pat) DePoty of Medina, Beverly (Charles) Pulaski of Albion, Heidi (Stanley) Bouter of Albion, Brenda (Mark) Pangrazio of Hamlin, Rose Davis of Hamlin, Alice (Tim) Dibble of Clarkson and Terry DePoty of Albion. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances (Gordon) Miller of Albion and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held February 2 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. Interment at Sandy Creek Cemetery will be held in the spring.
BERGEN
Clayton, William L., On January 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son, Devin (Janis); his sisters, Marjorie (James) Fuller, Jaclyn (Joseph) Rotonda, and Catherine (Roger) Vossler; brothers, Robert (Ruth) and Thomas (Linda); his sister-in-law, Lucille Feris; brother-in-law, Roger Decker; many nieces and nephews.

Grover, Samuel E., January 31, 2001. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Anna (Briggs); son, Richard H.; one grandchild, Richard E; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Scandrett of Pittsburgh and nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Monroe County Social Services Department, a member of Masonic Lodge #1032, and a member of the N.R.H.S.

Harper, Frances C., January 26, 2001. Survived by her mother, Frances; brothers, Vincent (Cindy), Patrick (Carol); uncle, Vincent Ward; aunt, Joan (Edwin) Tschetter, nephews and cousins.

Speer, Franklyn C. "Hider," January 30, 2001 at age 82. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred "Mame," 1996. He is survived by his children, Pamela (James) Nesbitt, Charles Speer, Gregory (Kathleen) Speer and Francis Speer (Louis Caruso); five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; his brother, Kenneth (Velma) Speer; two sisters, Ellen McCarroll and Jessie (James) Kirby; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret (Mrs. Kermit) Speer, George (Nancy), Luther (Marilyn) Rath, Helen (Louis) Szklany, Laurie (Arthur) Schultz, Carol (Gordon) Wright, Marion and Mildred Rath; his special friend, Ellie Bruton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Chilson, Eleanor E., January 24, 2001 of Clay, formerly of Hilton. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy C. "Jim" Chilson; her son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Julie Chilson; her daughter, Marlene Chilson; granddaughter, Robin Ferranti; her sister, Lucille Lemcke; nieces and nephews.

HOLLEY
Rietman, Carmel J., Age 77, on January 28, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Rietman was the daughter of the late Michael (Delia Coccitto) Petote. During her lifetime, Mr. and Mrs. Rietman ran the LaCasatina Restaurant in Holley and she also worked as a cook at SUNY Brockport.
She was predeceased by her husband, Norbert, in 1976 and is survived by her children, Arthur (Elaine) Rietman of North Carolina and Diane Rietman of South Dakota. Also surviving is one grandson, Ryan Shaw of North Carolina; and a brother, Joseph Petote of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was said January 31 at Saint Mary's Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial remembrances can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
KENDALL
Salvatore, Armond, At age 85 on January 26, 2001 . He is predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary (Bruno) and children, Carolyn Salvatore of Hilton and Armond Salvatore of Tennessee. Also surviving are four sisters, Anne (Anthony) DelaCosta, Rose (Frank) DelaCosta, Helen Martini and Mary Amico all of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held privately at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Those wishing can make memorial remembrances to the Orleans County Nursing Home Activities Fund in his memory.

Ernst, Franklin W., January 26, 2001 at age 61. Survived by wife, Jacqueline Ernst of North Carolina; daughter, Dana Marie Ernst of North Carolina; grandson, Anthony Paul Ernst of North Carolina; one brother; four sisters, including Caroline Stambaugh of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews, including Charlene (Robert) Versluis of Wayland.

Rinebold, Colleen Marie, Monday, January 29, 2001 at age 43. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Rinebold; two sons, Daniel and Eric Rinebold; her brothers, Dale Burns and James (Debbie) Sodeman; her sister, Susan Burns. She was an employee of Rochester General Hospital.
