The Blue Devils battled the state's top ranked team Irondequoit to a 0-0 overtime tie January 31 at SUNY Brockport. A goal by Dan Holding in the second period was called off with the net being dislodged before the puck went in the net. Goaltender Nick Unger stopped all 22 shots he faced including two in overtime. "We expected a defensive battle and we were up to the challenge," said Unger. "We're just happy to have shut out the number one team in the state."

Brockport will play in the Sectional Playoffs during the upcoming week.

The Cadets overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat Batavia 4-3 February 3 at SUNY Brockport. Second period goals by seniors Ryan LaLonde and Jason Greenwood less than two minutes apart tied the game 2-2. Batavia struck first in the third period to take a 3-2 lead. But junior Greg Schwind scored an unassisted power play goal off the goaltenders glove at the 4:33 mark and senior Ryan Corcoran took Schwind's pass and put the game-winning goal through the pads half way through the third period for the win.

Junior Cole O'Brien made 23 saves in net for the win. Hilton will also play in the Sectional Playoffs during the upcoming week.

The Saints scored a goal in each period including the game-winning goal by sophomore Brian Sarubbi in the first minute of the third period to defeat Bishop Kearney for the second time this season 3-2 February 1 at the ESL SportsCentre.

Senior Joe Jackson scored a power play goal on a beautiful passing play from Joe Ramirez and Ryan Perry to tie the game 1-1 at the end of the first period. Sophomore Lyndsay Wall scored her second goal of the season in the second period before Bishop Kearney tied it 2-2 leading to Sarubbi's goal in the third.

Joe Ramirez assisted on all three goals and freshman goaltender Jeremy Rossignolo picked up his first high school victory with 26 saves. Head Coach Jim Jackson was happy with the team's fifth win, "It was sloppy in spots, but we came out ahead. We're starting to get contributions from a lot of different players and that has helped take some of the pressure off the others." The five wins exceed last season's total with three games remaining on the schedule.
