MCC hosts Bass Fishing Institute
Monroe Community College will host the Bass Fishing Techniques Institute, March 10 and 11, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Brighton campus, 1000 East Henrietta Road, building 5, room 300.
Five of the country's top bass fishing professionals will be on campus to share tips, tactics, and techniques for improving fishing skills. This is the only upstate location for this popular course, held at colleges throughout the country.
The fee for MCC's bass fishing techniques course is $99, with a half-price special for spouses and children under 16.
The following presenters and topics scheduled to appear on Saturday, March 10: David Fritz, 1993 BASS Masters Classic Champion, will present Seasonal Patterns, Deep-Water Cranking, Deep Water Jig-and-Pig. Alton Jones, MegaBucks Champion, covers Flipping, Pitching and Boat Positioning. Tony Bean presents Small Mouth Bass Fishing Techniques.
On Sunday, March 11: Larry Nixon, two-time B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year and BASS Masters Classic Champion, instructs on The Plastic Worm and the Carolina Rig. Bill Decoteau shares his strategies on Spinnerbaits, Bass and Cover. For registration information, call 716/262-1776.
