The Ogden Town Board has approved the rezoning of 18 acres of land located at the corner of Route 531 and South Union Street from R-1 Residential to General Commercial. The request came from Dr. Peter Rivoli, who plans to build a group of commercial properties that would house such businesses as banks, offices, and stores. The development would encompass 24 acres subdivided into ten lots with two retention ponds and a number of hedgerows and buffers.

Rivoli's next step, once he has building plans, is to go before the Planning Board for site plan approval.
