Students in the New Visions program through Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES will bring a "taste" of Hawaii to the Sweden Senior Center. Amber Wakley (Brockport H.S.) and Angela Persia (Holley H.S.) are coordinating a Hawaiian Luau for area senior citizens as part of a community outreach project. The luau will be at the Sweden Senior Center, 133 State Street, Brockport on Sunday, March 18, 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Activities including Bingo and dancing will be set to a Hawaiian theme. Seniors are invited to dress up Hawaiian style. They will also learn how to make leis and a Hawaiian meal.

The event is free and open to all area senior citizens. To register, please sign up at the senior center or call 637-8161. Refreshments will be served.

Students in the New Visions program are college-bound seniors exploring in-depth the career of their choice while earning high school and college credit.
