Churchville voters pick one incumbent,
one newcomer for village board
A higher than average 146 voters turned out in the Village of Churchville last week to elect two of three candidates to the board of trustees.
Incumbent Nancy Steedman received 110 votes, newcomer Scott Cullen received 93 and Roberta Ames received 64. A smiling Cullen, at the firehouse as the votes were counted, said, "I have to go home and tell my wife ... . I'm excited. I'll do my best."
In an uncontested race in the Village of Spencerport, Mayor Theodore Walker received 77 votes. One write-in vote was cast for Dennis Caliri and one for Glenn Granger. Trustee Theodore Rauber was re-elected with 77 votes, Trustee Timothy Peer with 83.
