AREA

Worden, Mildred Ginther, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, February 7, 2001. She is survived by husband, Oren; daughter and best friend, Ann Roche; sister, Evelyn Sage of Loveland, Colorado; aunt, Helen Scholand of Hilton; and several cousins. She was born in Adams Basin and graduated from the University of Rochester with a bachelor of arts degree and a master's degree in education.

She was active in the Republican Party for many years, was a board member and officer of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra for six years, and for many years was a member and board officer of the League of Women Voters.

She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Women's Golf Association of Four Hills Country Club and ABCL Bridge Club.

A Private Burial Service was held at Garland Rural Cemetery.


ALBION

Thompson, Wallace N., at age 79, on March 22, 2001 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He had resided in Albion for more than 40 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Albion, was a member and past president of the Albion Sportsmen's Association. He was preceded in death by a son, Wallace N. Thompson, Jr.; a brother, Loren Thompson and sisters, Marie McDaniels, Betty Shields and Zelma Whiting. Surviving are his wife of more than 56 years, the former Veronica Licursi, Larksville; brother, Edwin F. Thompson, Larksville; sisters, Mrs. Mildred Gardner, Wyoming and Mrs. Isabelle Hastings, Emporium and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held March 26 at Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. A Funeral Mass followed in St. Joseph's Church, Albion. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.


BROCKPORT

Ryan, Velma Alice "Red," March 24, 2001 at the age of 89. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Madeline Ryan; special friends, Kenneth Bibby, Union Street neighbors and Harley and Susan Smith of Florida; many great and great great-nieces and nephews. Velma was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church Rosary Society, American Legion Auxiliary #379 and the Brockport Elkets #2110. She worked for 45 years at the Brockport A&P.

A Funeral Mass was said March 27 at the Church of the Nativity B.V.M., Main Street, Brockport. Interment Garland Cemetery in the spring of the year. Those wishing may have Masses offered for the repose of her soul or make a donation to Lollypop Farm.


CHILI

Liese, Anna M., Age 92 on March 20, 2001. Predeceased by her husband, David Sr.; son, Carl; daughter, Vivian Agosto; grandchildren, John S. Boyak, Anna M. Boyak Rickards. Survived by her children, David (Joy) Liese, Audrey (Donald) Craig, Colleen Boyak, Yvonne (George) Oliver; son-in-law, Louis Agosto; grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Bixler of Lockport, NY; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Services were held at the James R. Gray Funeral Home, March 24. Interment Fairfield Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior or GRHC Hospice, 70 Metro Park, Rochester, NY 14623.


CHURCHVILLE

Kelly, Marie H. (Sherman), on March 27, 2001 at age 75. Predeceased by her husband, James L. Kelly of 50 years. Survived by three daughters, Sandra Cromey, Chili, Sharon (Roger) Kimmel, Hilton, and Cheryl (Ric) Fox, Indiana; five grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Angie) Sherman, Wheatland, Carl (Nancy) Sherman, Caledonia; 17 nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held March 30 at the Alhart Funeral Home, Caledonia. Interment Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Clifton Fire Department, Wheatland Center Road, Churchville 14428.


HILTON

Panarites, Evelyn L. (Lissow) Peacefully, March 23, 2001, under the love of her family. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband, James Panarites (1914-2000), brother, Frank Lissow (1928-1993) and sister, Mary Harder (1921-2000). She is survived by her son, Stephen (Jane) Panarites; daughter, Linda (Rick) Sweeting; sisters, Ruth (Loyd) Wolf, Jean Buehler, Peg (Bill) Herring; brothers-in-law, Nicholas Panarites and Manuel (Mary) Panarites; sisters-in-law, Irene Lissow, Ethel Cosman and Connie Pataccoli; much loved nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Service celebrating her life was held March 28 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Contributions can be made to Lakeside Foundation, 156 West Avenue, Brockport 14420 in her memory.


Pfenninger, Dale F., March 25, 2001. Dale is survived by his wife, Juanita Pfenninger; his children, Joe and Rochelle Pfenninger; brother, Danny Pfenninger; sister, Linda (Nelson) Riff; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.

Services were held March 29 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton.
