C-C's US FIRST Robotics Team
heads to national competition
A team of C-C technology students will be heading to Florida with career and technical education teacher Jason Rees for the 2001 FIRST Robotics national competition April 5 to 7.
The team, which includes C-C high school students and Nortel Networks engineers, came home with two awards after the regional competition in March. The robot received an award of Imagery, which recognizes attractiveness in engineering and outstanding visual integration of the machine and team appearance. The team also won another award for being the number one seed team, meaning C-C had the highest average score in the qualification matches.
