Spencerport Board of Education
honors three district employees

The Spencerport Board of Education honored three Spencerport School District employees at the board's March 13 meeting. Superintendent Phillip Langton introduced the three who were recognized for their recent accomplishments: Anthony Lipani, Heather Shaw and Mark Lavner. Board President Larry Fenity presented each with a Certificate of Recognition.

Lipani, a physical education teacher at Cosgrove Middle School and Spencerport High School, was recognized for his Student Athlete Character Training Program.

Shaw, a special education teacher at Terry Taylor Elementary School, was recognized for being a presenter on the subject of "Supporting a Child with Autism in an Inclusive Second Grade" at the New York State Board of Cooperative Educational Services Symposium.

Lavner, principal at William Munn Elementary School, was recognized for being named "Educator of the Month" by Channel 8 News.
