The Brockport Girls Varsity Winter Track and the Boys Varsity Winter Track teams received the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Scholar/Athlete Team Award for the Winter 2000-01 season. The award is given to high school athletic teams who have maintained a high cumulative grade point average throughout their athletic season. The following Brockport students received NYSPHSAA certificates:

Girls Winter Track team members are: Allyson Barnhart, Ashleigh Barnhart, Elizabeth Daniels, Kathleen Dumas, Whitney Dupra, Bethany Hawke, Arianna Hill, Justine Locke, Brenna McJury, Colleen Miller, Angela Petronio, Tara Phouthavongsa, Kaitlyn Sayers, Victoria Spencer, Mary Stoughton, Renee VanHooft, Irene Vickner, Diana Webster, Katherine Wegman, and Kathryn Wieczorek.

Boys Winter Track team members are Andy Bishop, Robert Donald, Mike Dumas, Jake Hamlin, Jason Hammond, Aaron Johnson, Miles Ketchum, Nick Kulp, Brian Mackenzie, Torre Pinkins, Bryan Schuff, Matt Siciliano, Jimmy Sorel, Adam Streb and Ryan Wight.
