Baseball skills competition in Hamlin

Hamlin Recreation is conducting a Diamond Skills Baseball Competition May 10 at 6:30 p.m. The Diamond Skills Program, sponsored in part by Toys "R" Us and Fleer Trading Cards, is a skills competition open to boys and girls ages 7-14 nationally. The competition is free to all youngsters who participate.

This national initiative gives children the chance to showcase their batting, fielding, throwing and base running skills. Winners move on to local, sectional, regional then national finals. All that is needed is a copy of the participant's birth certificate at the time of the competition.
