SUNY Brockport welcomes families of graduates
SUNY College at Brockport will confer degrees on its graduates in two ceremonies on Saturday, May 12.
The graduate Commencement Ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m. in the Tuttle North Gym at SUNY Brockport. Poet-in-residence and Professor of English Emeritus William Heyen will speak at the ceremony.
The undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will begin at 12:45 p.m., outdoors in the Special Olympics Stadium at SUNY Brockport. Thomas Golisano, CEO, Paychex Inc., will be the speaker; Senator Charles E. Schumer will give greetings and congratulations to the graduates.
In case of severe weather, the undergraduate ceremony will be moved into the Tuttle North Ice Arena; tickets will be required.
The college anticipates heavy traffic and would like to alert village residents and anyone traveling through the area of possible traffic delays. University Police will be employing traffic control measures to ensure a safe, steady flow of traffic.
