Oak Orchard to introduce new staff
Oak Orchard Community Health Center will hold an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15 to introduce the community to two new doctors and a nurse midwife that have begun practicing at its Brockport site. The open house will be held at the center, 300 West Avenue, Brockport. Tours and refreshments will be available.
Catherine Burke, Certified Nurse Midwife, will be providing comprehensive obstetrical care including deliveries at Lakeside Memorial Hospital as well as other women's health services. Burke received her training at the University of Southern California and has practiced for a number of years in the Rochester area.
Elizabeth Blasco, M.D., has joined Dr. James Goetz and Janette Saxton, PNP in the Pediatric practice, serving children to age 21. Blasco received her training at the University of North California and Strong Memorial Hospital and is Board certified in Pediatric Practice.
Thomas Verme, M.D., joins Dr. Martha David and Rachel Forberg, FNP in serving men, women, and children in the Brockport Family Medicine group. Dr. Verme trained at Michigan State University and Marshall University and is Board certified in Family Practice. Prior to coming to Oak Orchard, Dr. Verme practiced in New Mexico along with his wife, Dr. Nancy Ciavarri, also a Family Medicine physician. Dr. Ciavarri has also joined Oak Orchard, practicing at the Albion site.
All of these health care providers are accepting new patients and brief, get-acquainted visits are available by calling 637-3905. Oak Orchard accepts most insurances, including Medicaid, and fee adjustments are available to eligible patients.
