C-C schools host Safe Schools forum May 14
The Churchville-Chili Community Dialogue Committee is providing an opportunity for district residents to learn about Project SAVE, a law recently enacted by New York State addressing safety in all state schools. The Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) law is a comprehensive planning effort that addresses prevention, response, and recovery with respect to a variety of emergencies in schools.
Given that emergencies in schools are paramount issues that must be addressed in an expeditious and effective manner, C-C Superintendent Mary Alice Price charged a team with representatives from multiple constituencies to develop a plan to support implementation of Project SAVE. The team has been working on the plan for the past few months.
To learn more about Churchville-Chili Central School District's plan, all residents are welcome to attend an open forum on Monday, May 14 at 7 p.m. in the Junior High School Forum Room. During the open forum, residents will learn about the school district's code of conduct, emergency preparedness plan, and other essential elements of the plan.
For information, interested residents can contact Geri Pehta at 293-1800 extension 2041.
