Hilton-Parma seniors plan day trip
Plans have been made for the Hilton-Parma Seniors to travel to the Merry-Go-Round Theatre in Auburn, NY on either Wednesday, June 13 or Wednesday, August 22 to see one of two plays. "Forever Plaid" will be seen on June 13 and "Cabaret" on August 22. "Forever Plaid" is the story of a male singing group from the 50s that is miraculously resurrected after an untimely demise, to sing the performance of their lives. "Cabaret" is set in Berlin, just before Hitler's rise to power. The show was made famous by Joel Grey and Liza Minnelli. Both shows feature music and songs and participants have a choice of either trip.
Buses for both trips will leave the Village Community Center at 8:30 a.m. with time to purchase lunch at the Prime Outlet Mall and family-style dinner following the performances at Lascas's Restaurant. Cost of these trips is $42 which includes the driver gratuity. Registration will take place on Thursday, May 10 in the Ingham Room of the Village Community Center, 59 Henry Street where a random drawing will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Doors to the Ingham room open at 9:15 a.m.
Since this trip is subsidized by the Town of Parma, it is open to Parma residents age 55 and up.
Also, meals are served every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in the Ingham Room of the Village Community Center. Call 392-9030 for reservation.
