Sweden adjourns cell tower hearing
A public hearing on a proposed communications tower to be located at 441 Sweden Ogden Townline Road has been adjourned until June 26 at 7 p.m. The adjournment will allow the applicants, SBA and Cingular Wireless to provide more information to the Town of Swedens technical consultants.
The 100-feet tall lattice work tower is proposed to be built on property owned by Paul Robinson. SBA will own the tower and its main tenant will be Cingular Wireless, although SBA will actively recruit other tenants, according to their representatives at the May 22 public hearing. The new tower location would help Cingular Wireless improve its coverage in the southeast part of town.
In other business from the May 22 town board meeting:
David Paul has submitted an application to rezone his property on the south side of Brockport Spencerport Road, just west of Salmon Creek Road, from residential to commercial and light industrial in order to construct a truck terminal, professional building and three houses. The board set a public hearing on the application for June 12 at 7 p.m.
After holding a public hearing, the town adopted a new driveway and right-of-way work permit application. Any new driveways in the town are subject to the application which must be approved by the highway superintendent.
