Hilton High School Alumni Hall of Fame
announces 2001 inductees
The Hilton High School Alumni Hall of Fame announces the selection of nine alumni for the 2001 induction to be held this June. Selected from a pool of 19 candidates by a selection committee composed of Hilton High School alumni, facility and staff, the inductees are:
Jare R. Cardinal, Class of 1969, educator/museologist/filmmaker;
Donald A. Cario, Class of 1948, retired minister; was class valedictorian;
Major Peter C. Clement, Class of 1983, Commander of USAFE Germany;
James R. Craigie, Class of 1971, CEO Spalding Sports Worldwide;
Larry Gursslin, Class of 1966, former mayor, Village of Hilton;
Frances M. Murphy, M.D., Class of 1971, Deputy Undersecretary of Health U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs;
Kathleen L. Peterson-Sweeney, Class of 1975, Associate Professor in Nursing SUNY Brockport;
Dean M. Snyder, D.V.M., Class of 1978, veterinarian in Hilton;
Kay Dieckman Willson, Ph.D., Class of 1966, Program Coordinator, Prairie Women's Health Center of Excellence.
Presentation of the inductees will be held Saturday, June 16, at 2 p.m. at Hilton High School Commencement at the Eastman Theater. A community reception for the inductees will be held 5:30 p.m. at the Hilton Community Center. The Hilton High School Alumni Hall of Fame was begun in 1999 with eight charter members. The selection committee members are: Steven Ayers; Maureen Ballerstein; Steve Lemon; Sally Littlefield; Debbie Montrallo, Ruth Trost, Ed Scutt and Katie Weis.
