The Sweden Republican Committee has announced its candidates for the fall 2001 election. Endorsed are incumbent Supervisor Nat Lester III, incumbent Councilman Rob Carges and incumbent clerk Gail DeToy.

Councilman Norman Wright has decided not to seek another term. Instead, the Republicans have nominated Danielle Windus-Cook to run for the seat. Also running is new town justice William Cody, who was appointed earlier this spring to fill the unexpired term of Sharon Kehoe.

Sweden Republicans have endorsed Wayne Zyra and Pete McCann as county legislators.
