Kendall commencement speaker
1987 graduate Dr. Tricia Markusen
The Kendall Central School District has announced that the speaker at this year's commencement ceremony will be Dr. Tricia E. Markusen. Markusen is a 1987 graduate of Kendall High School who went on to earn her bachelor of arts degree in biological sciences from Wellesley College, where she graduated magna cum laude. She then spent eight months as a research associate at the Institute for Reproductive Research in Los Angeles, California. In 1996, she earned her doctorate degree in medicine and did an internship/residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine, where she was appointed administrative chief resident during the fourth year of her residency. Markusen now has a private practice in obstetrics, gynecology and osteoporosis at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey, California. She's also a Junior Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The Kendall Commencement Ceremony will take place Friday, June 22 at 7 p.m. in the Kendall High School auditorium.
