Kendall students intern at area businesses,
earn college credit
Three Kendall students are getting a jump on their careers through the Career Education Internship Program (CEIP) at BOCES 2. They spent 108 hours in internships and earned college credit through in-class training on topics such as college preparation, career planning and goal setting. The students recently presented their final projects, which consisted of a portfolio, written report and ten-minute presentation on what they learned through their internship positions. Teachers and counselors from area school districts judged the presentations.
The CEIP gives high school juniors and seniors a unique opportunity working with mentors in up to four career areas while attending school.
