Hilton-Parma Seniors plan day trip
Plans have been made for the Hilton-Parma Seniors to travel to Warren, Pennsylvania on Friday, July 6 for a day of fun and entertainment. The day includes shopping time at the Blair Warehouse, lunch "on your own," the matinee performance of "Ain't Misbehavin'," and a sit-down dinner at the Ironstone Restaurant. The play features the music of the great Fats Waller performed by the company of leading singers and dancers who recreate the musical heritage of the 1920's and 30's. Their performance is housed in the historic Struthers Library Theatre which was built as an opera house and public library in 1883 and completely restored in 1983.
Buses will leave the Village Community Center at 7 a.m. Cost of this trip is $45 which includes the driver gratuity. Registration for this trip will take place on Thursday, June 7 in the Ingham Room of the Village Community Center, 59 Henry Street where a random drawing will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Doors to the Ingham Room open at 9:15 a.m. Since this trip is subsidized by the Town of Parma, it is open to Parma residents age 55 and up.
Meals are served every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in the Ingham Room of the Village Community Center. Call 392-9030 for reservations.
