Spencerport High School student Tonya Burek received the Outstanding Senior award for 2001, joining 31 other Monroe County seniors. The award is sponsored by the Monore County Council of Superintendents. Tonya and the other students were invited to attend the Outstanding Senior Recognition Dinner on May 24, where they each received a gift and a plaque.

The students were chosen from every high school in Monroe County and the City of Rochester. They were selected based on their scholarship, leadership, service and character. State Senator Richard Dollinger was the guest speaker.
