The Level 4 and 5 teams of Bright Raven Gymnastics traveled to Utica June 1-3 to compete in the final Championship meets of the season. This three-day USA Gymnastics sanctioned event included approximately 500 gymnasts from 40 Upstate New York teams. Bright Raven's Level 4 Team took third place in the Upstate New York Team Cup with a team total of 248.775. The gymnasts are listed with their all-around score as follows: Maura Wojak (Chili) 35.225, Rachel Eckert (Irondequoit) 35.075, Kara Golis (Churchville) 34.075, Cassandra Dean (Churchville), 33.20, Sherilyn DiRoma (Hilton) 34.95, Alyssa Hurlbutt-Mortier (Ogden) 33.00, Alyssa Kober (Ogden) 35.075, Emily Gutknecht (Rochester) 34.375, Sarah Berry (Greece) 33.05, Nicole Morone (Churchville) 34.875, Amanda Arcieri (Chili) 34.525, Bria Wing (Chili) 34.45, Kyle Holly (Chili) 32.325, Erin Kolb (Chili) 31.55, Bethany Ayers (Churchville) 33.625, Allison Grove (Chili) 34.525, Gina Mattioli (Greece) 34.50, Katie Kisker (Chili) 32.30, Danielle Peruzzini (Brockport) 32.775. The Level 5 Upstate Championship awarded individual honors. Amber Kober of Ogden took fourth place in the 9-11 age division on balance beam with a score 9.30. She competed in all four events totaling 36.175 all around for twelfth place. Teammate, Megan Seuffert of Gates, earned a medal for her performance on the uneven parallel bars scoring a 9.55 for sixth place. Seuffert totaled 36.10 all around. Gymnasts had to qualify to participate in this final Championship by earning minimum all-around scores at USAG Sectional competitions held earlier in the season.
