Sports camps offered through Hilton-Parma Recreation
Hilton-Parma Recreation offers over two dozen summer camps for every level of experience and age, instructed by some of the area's top coaches and athletes. Those include several Hilton Varsity Coaches such as Rob Steinorth and Tara Merino in volleyball, Kim Bellnier in field hockey, Paul David for soccer, Rich LiPani for football, and Ory Mee in baseball and basketball who will teach each child the techniques that have made their teams powerhouses in Monroe County, Section Five, and New York state. Many present varsity athletes will be on hand to provide an example of what the beginners may become.
Instruction from former Hilton athletes will also be available from Jody Wyant in beginning tennis, Shawn Stalker and Kevin Whelehan in T-Ball Camp, and Jamie Scheg in gymnastics. These individuals are all active coaches in high schools, colleges, and recreation programs.
There are also camps and programs in karate/self-defense, horseback riding, golf, and cheerleading. All programs are offered with prices ranging from $18-$50. Horseback riding is priced at $183.
All of the sport camp offerings are outlined in the Hilton-Parma Recreation Summer Program Brochure available at the Parma Town Hall, Parma Public Library, and Village Community Center. Contact Hilton-Parma Recreation at 392-9030 or stop into the Recreation Office at 59 Henry Street between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays for information.
