Genesee Center for the Arts offers season tickets
The Genesee Center for the Arts will offer season tickets for its 2001-2002 season, which begins October 4. Subscribers will also receive an additional complimentary ticket of equal value to any Forum Player or Fine Arts event throughout the season.
This is the first time that a season ticket has been offered.
Subscribers will receive tickets to all seven performances.
The season begins October 4 with a production of the William Inge play, Picnic, followed by folk singer and two-time Grammy nominee Bill Morrissey in November. The Yellow Boat, by playwright David Saar, also premieres in November while The American Magic Lantern Victorian Slide Show presents an authentic turn-of-the-century Christmas gala on December 8. Genesee's Readers Theatre Ensemble performs from February 28 through March 2. Are You Ready, My Sister? tells the story of the Underground Railroad with live performances, puppets and interactive audience participation in April. The season ends in May, 2002, with Killing Time, a madcap musical murder farce. In addition to the complimentary tickets, subscribers will also receive informational material such as teacher guides for each individual performance, when available.
Prices for season tickets are set at $38 for general admission and $18 for student and senior citizens. Season tickets will be available August 1. More information and ticket reservations are available from the Genesee Center for the Arts Box Office at 345-6814.
