Spencerport students and staff raise money for charity
Students and staff at Bernabi Elementary School in Spencerport have raised $1,742 for the American Cancer Society. The staff held a breakfast during which they collected $310 in one morning.
At Munn Elementary School, two third-graders organized a penny drive for the homeless. Michael Elmore and John Belmont presented a check of $35.60 to Rodney Young, the United Way's Director of Resource Development for Educational Programs, on June 18. Each boy received a certificate of appreciation from the United Way.
