This year's Talent Contest at the Monroe County Fair is sponsored by Mrs. New York America, Coca-Cola and Sunset Sound.

The Junior Talent Contest will take place on Wednesday, August 1 at 7:30 p.m. and is for ages 12 and under. The Senior Talent Contest will take place on Thursday, August 2 at 7 p.m. and is for ages 13 and up. The Talent Contest Finals are to be held on Saturday, August 4 at 3:30 p.m. The top eight winners from the junior and senior categories will be eligible to participate in the finals.

The Talent Contest is a growing event. There are cash prizes for the top three winners in each division. There are also trophies and ribbons for the top eight winners.

Contact the Monroe County Fair at 334-4000 for rules and an entry blank. The deadline is July 21 and there is a $10 entry fee for each act and a $4 fee for each additional act. The Monroe County Fair will run from August 1 to August 5.
