Genesee Community College will once again offer Driver Pre-Licensing and Defensive Driving courses in July.

The Driver Pre-Licensing Course is required of all individuals wishing to obtain a New York state operator's license. Driver Pre-Licensing will be offered Monday and Tuesday, July 9 and 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Batavia Campus; Tuesday and Wednesday, July 10 and 11, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Orleans Campus Center; Wednesday and Thursday, July 25 and 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Batavia Campus; and Tuesday and Wednesday, July 31 and August 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Orleans Campus Center. Cost is $25.

The Defensive Driving Course teaches the fundamentals of auto and traffic safety. Individuals who complete the course may be entitled to a reduction in points on their official driving records, as well as a reduction in auto insurance premiums. Defensive Driving will be offered Tuesday and Thursday, July 3 and 5, from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Orleans Campus Center; Tuesday and Thursday, July 10 and 12, from 6 to 9:15 p.m. at the Batavia Campus. Cost is $44.
